Have you ever tried Norwegian heart-shaped waffles with raspberry jam and Norwegian brown cheese served on a freshly varnished wooden board? You have not? Well, one Panellist was reminded of that delicacy, and we took her word for it. On the palate, a rich, creamy, savoury custard with vanilla, cumin and coriander was served with a dark hot chocolate.
Water released the sweeter aroma of a chocolate mousse with mixed berries and pistachio, while to taste we found dark chocolate limes and tiramisu. In the finish, a melange coffee was served with a chocolate cream liqueur. Following seven years in an ex-bourbon barrel, we transferred this whisky into a 2nd fill #4+ char hogshead.
