“Attractive notes of raspberries, orange peel, red licorice, cedar and dried mushrooms. Medium- to full bodied with firm tannins that have a chalky texture to them. The vivid acidity and underlining notes of juicy red berries give it joy and vibrancy. Mineral finish.” ~94pts James Suckling (June 2023)

 

  • Variety: 100% Nebbiolo, grown 300-350 m elevation
  • Planting density: 5400 plants/ha, with an average age of 8-10 yrs
  • Soil: Marly, white tufaceous with south/southwest exposure
  • Vinification: fermentation occurs with indigenous yeasts. Maceration lasts approximately 16 days at a controlled temperature between 25-30° C.
  • Maturation: In 25 â 30 hl oak barrels for 30 months.
  • Aging: In the bottle for 6 months at a controlled temperature of 15° C.
  • Color: Ruby red almost garnet.
  • Nose: Floral, rich, broad and continuous with notes of red hibiscus flowers, plum and raspberry.
  • Taste: Enveloping the palate with strength, harmony and fullness with a long finish. Moderately tannic and suitable for consumption from a young age.
  • Storage temperature from 14° to 17° C, serving temp 16° C.
  • Pairings: Roasted red meat, game, truffled foods and mature cheeses.
  • Bottles produced: approximately 9,500
