The brewery over on the other side of the river forever made Alt-Bier. On this side,
we always made Kölsch. That is just the way it has always been. On warm afternoons,
we would often sip from our tall slender glasses of Kölsch, and stare out across the
water, wondering. One fine day we each decided to row out to the middle of the river,
meet each other and exchange bottles of our finest. Since that day there have been
friendly smiles and waves travelling across the water. The river doesn’t seem so wide
