From Dewars & Sons’ ‘Last Great Malts’ Collection. Crafted using distinctive wash stills, with a 90-degree bends in their lyne arms that yields a fruitier lighter spirit. This is The Deveron 18-Year-Old, launched in September 2015 (alongside a 12-Year-Old expression, too). This relaunch came complete with new frosted glass bottles and ‘The’ at the start of its name.
Nose: Creamy malt with hints of hazelnut cream, fresh summer berries and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Palate: Caramelised peaches, dark chocolates, orange zest and malt aplenty.
Finish: Whispers of raisin and crushed nuts. A bit short.
