Whisky Folk members always get 5% off of regularly price whiskies, but when a whisky gets featured at an event, in-store, or online – we double the discount! Occasionally, we even get an extra special discount from our suppliers that we pass on to our members – so you may see some incredible bargains here as well.

Our new whisky bar launches in October, and one of the whiskies available there will be our custom-created blend, created by one of our members. And that member could be you!

We released three exclusive single casks from Signatory in the last few months, and they were purposefully selected by Adam to be complementary to each other. These will be the ingredients you can use for your blend.

Simply come up with your own recipe and name, and submit it below. Only one entry per member, and you must be a member to enter. The entry deadline is Sunday, Sept 27th. A shortlist of submissions will be chosen by Adam, and then the winner will be determined by a panel of Judges.

The prize isn’t just bragging rights and having your whisky available at our bar, though – you also get one free ticket for every Whisky Folk and SMWS tasting event until the end of March 2027! (Showcases, Outturns & Tournaments only, no dinners or external events included).

We have a few ways to help you in this endeavour. Firstly, our friends over at Fathom (Hotel Grand Pacific) have a flight available on their menu with these three whiskies.

We also have a special event on September 23rd where you can come and create your blend in the Maple Room while watching a documentary on indy bottlers. Tickets are available below, and include your very own graduated cylinder!

Finally, you can create your blend from the comfort of your own home (or anywhere, really) if you have a bottle of each. In case you need to add one to your collection in order to do this, we’ve put all three on 15% off for a limited time.

Whisky Folk is an inclusive club for anyone who has an interest in whisky. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran or an absolute beginner to the hobby, we’re here to invite you into our passionate community.

Whisky Folk is curated and organized by Adam Bradshaw and his team of whisky specialists at The Strath. It has over 1200 members, and has been running since 2017 (formerly known as The Dram Association). In that time over a thousand different whiskies have been sampled by members. Many of which have been rated by our club too.

The club is free to join and comes with zero strings attached. Simply sign up to access a 5% discount online and in-store on our whiskies.

You’re invited to sample whiskies in-store, and of course, you will be notified about our popular tasting events. Even better, whiskies that are featured in our club get boosted to a 10% discount for all members! Sometimes we’ll even have whiskies that are only available to members.

We also invite whisky lovers to branch out, with our Seasonal Spirits. Each season a different style of spirit is highlighted with tasting events, featured bottles, and even a 5% discount on all bottles of that spirit type. Summer is agave spirits, fall is rums, winter is brandy, and spring is gin!

Based out of The Strath in Victoria BC, Whisky Folk meets regularly in person, with an emphasis on communal whisky exploration. However, you don’t need to be Victoria-based to join us, as we welcome digital members from around the world to engage with us online – especially on our YouTube channel “Drinking Out Loud“. If you ever find yourselves in our fair city, we would love to meet you in person!
