We proudly present The GlenAllachie 21-year-old Batch 5 with integrity; at its cask strength of 49.2%, without added colouring or chill filtration, allowing the exceptional liquid within the bottle to speak for itself.

Nose Brandied honeycomb, molasses tart and spiced blood orange, with bursts of cocoa, black winter truffle and caramelised brown sugar.
Taste Rich chocolate, warm baking spices and clementine zest, followed by molasses, orchard fruits and crystalised ginger, with black cherries and raisin butter on the finish.

GlenAllachie

GlenAllachie is a relative newcomer by Speyside standards, but one with an old soul and a renewed sense of purpose. Built in 1967 during the great blending boom of the mid-20th century, it was designed with functionality in mind, a quiet workhorse churning out malt for corporate blends. For decades, it remained in the shadows, known to blenders but rarely to drinkers.

That changed in 2017, when it was acquired by Billy Walker, a seasoned whisky maker best known for revitalising BenRiach and GlenDronach. With GlenAllachie, he found something rare, a distillery with solid bones, spacious warehouses, and a flexible design that allowed for experimentation and craftsmanship. The shift was immediate. Production was cut back significantly to allow for longer fermentation times, and the team began taking meticulous control over every stage of the process.

The distillery uses traditional wooden washbacks and employs gravity-fed distillation, a method that avoids pumps and encourages a gentler flow of liquid through the system. The stills themselves are relatively large and onion-shaped, producing a robust, weighty spirit well suited to long aging. The water, drawn from springs on nearby Ben Rinnes, is soft and mineral-rich, ideal for distillation.

Under independent ownership, GlenAllachie has embraced the role of artisan rather than industrial supplier. It is not chasing volume, but character. The whisky that now leaves its warehouses is no longer anonymous. It is expressive, hands-on, and deeply rooted in the landscape of Speyside, where patient craftsmanship still carries the day.
