Megan’s Notes

Located on south shore of Lake Garda in the Lombardy region in Northern Italy, the Lugana area is known for fresh complex white wines. The calcareous clay soils in the area are rich in mineral salts, resulting in very ripe, tasty fruit. This particular wine is ‘the flagship white wine of the Tommasi family’, and it’s elegance and finesse is only outweighed by it’s balance and complexity. All the fruit for this wine is grown in the La Fornaci vineyard, and shows beautiful fruit with some spicey tones, wonderful minerality streaks, and great acidity holding everything together.
