From The Producers
‘I love robust whisky with a lot of character and big flavour and this is why I decided to make this style of whisky to share with everyone. If you like it as much as I do, then you will love it!’ Jason MacIsaac, Sheringham’s Master Distiller and Co-Founder, shares his excitement. Sheringham’s debut batch of whisky earned the “Best In Class” title at the Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition (CASC) and a Gold award in the “Merrit in Terroir” category.
Sheringham Distillery’s journey in the world of whisky-making began at their original distillery in Shirley, B.C., perched overlooking the Juan de Fuca Strait. This vision expanded to their Sooke distillery, where dedication to quality and sustainability came together. Utilizing exclusively local B.C. grains, the distillery not only produces exceptional whisky but also repurposes spent grain as feed for local farm animals.
Now situated in their newest distillery in Langford, anticipation is building as Sheringham Distillery prepares to unveil their latest offering-a batch of rye Whisky that embodies the essence of Sheringham’s award-winning craftsmanship and tradition. Using exclusively local B.C. grain, this whisky is an amalgamation of several carefully selected barrels that have been aging for a minimum of 3 years and up to 4.5 years.
Key Features of Sheringham Distillery Whisky:
